Selfies taken on a rare warm February day in Cambridge, these photos just make me think how ideal it would be to lead a cat-like existence. Eat. Sleep. Bathe in sunlight... On a less random note, I acquired these H&M leggings only a few days ago and they're already becoming a staple. They're warm, cartwheel-friendly and my boyfriend only gave them a 2 on the 1-10 hate scale - what's not to love? Hope you've all had a lovely February♥

VANILLA TWILIGHT

I know I didn't do a Christmas "haul" post, mainly because the word "haul" makes me think of the word "hurl", need I go further... Anyway, here are a few of my Christmas/recent acquisitions, INCLUDING THE JEFFREY CAMPBELL LITAS, which I've definitely not made enough noise about! It's just a generally divine shoe - I was hoping that a cooling-off period (of 2 years!) would help me get over them, but no. Here I am, 9 inches taller and an infinite amount happier.

Also, the top picture is of a cosmetics set from Manufaktura, an incredible Czech cosmetics brand (whose products are a lot more impressive than their website). Now, I rarely get patriotic towards my half-home country, but maaaan the discovery of Manufaktura made me dance the jiggle. Whatever that may be. Then there's my satchel from The Leather Satchel Company which is just the most amazingly British addition to any girl's closet, and a new travel watercolour palette which I had to get because I'm one of those freaks who can't walk out of an art store empty-handed.... And my first somewhat elaborate attempt at fiddling with it.

London Fashion Week is upon us and who could resist the temptation of playing dress up? Seeing as the closest most of us will get to front-row seats is Topshop and Google's collaboration live stream (no complaints there tbh), pulling out my funkiest heels and dress just seemed like the right thing to do. Especially considering the fact that as everyone was flying into London to join the party, I depressingly found myself on an outbound flight, ever the (im)perfect timing. Nonetheless, let's thank our lucky stars we've been blessed with the digital era and make our cyber presence known. Amen.

A free winter spirit, full of innocence and wonder... I guess we didn't intend for this shoot to come out quite so twilight-esque, but everyone needs a bit of vampirification in their lives and I'm sure you'll all agree that Scharolta looks beautiful. Hopefully that will at least slightly atone for my making the poor girl roll around in the snow in a light jumper and a pair of tights...

OH HELLO 2013 : ON NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

New Year's resolutions... Those high hopes of improvement that come with a new year, only to be forgotten when we realise each day is just as it was before. But then, maybe there's something to the naive and artificial act of giving oneself goals at a seemingly random and insignificant point in time.

So whilst the year is still fresh, whilst "2012" still accidentally slips out of your pen when you write the date, let's convert the non-believers. Yesterday, when rummaging through piles of paper to find lord-only-knows-what, I found a neatly folded piece of paper which when unravelled listed my resolutions for 2012. Clearly having misplaced the list long ago, I'd forgotten about some of my hopes and aspirations, but there were a few resolutions I'd actually (if unknowingly) stuck to and achieved. And you know what? I'm not even going to deny the stubborn and childish sense of pride that realisation gave me.

So I'm jumping on the new year's resolution bandwagon and using the momentum of a new year to get things rolling. Resolution number one? Dive head-first back into photography, and share the fruits of all that diving with you wildcats.

In the meantime, here are a few random snaps from NYE taken by my loverboi, the first two are film and somewhat double-exposed over fireworks. Zara necklace, H&M lace top, Michael Kors watch.
